This event is dedicated to shedding light on the masks we wear in life and the impact they have on our inner emotions. This event aims to create a safe space for men to open up, embrace vulnerability, and find the courage to step into their authentic selves.

The Power of Unmasking:

Throughout life, we often conceal our innermost feelings behind metaphorical masks, putting on brave faces or pretending everything is okay. This act of self-preservation can take a toll on our mental and emotional well-being, preventing us from truly connecting with ourselves and others.

At “Unmasking – 3 Steps to Your Next Journey“, we will delve into the reasons behind these masks and explore the benefits of removing them. By embracing vulnerability and honesty, we can break free from the limitations that these masks impose on us and embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing.

3 Steps to Your Next Journey:

The event will feature three powerful steps that serve as a roadmap to your next journey:

• Awareness: Recognising the Masks – We will explore the various masks we wear in different areas of life, whether it be in relationships, work, or society. Through interactive discussions and personal reflections, we’ll gain awareness of these masks and their impact on our mental health.

• Embracing Vulnerability: Letting Go of the Masks – Letting go of our masks requires courage and vulnerability. Through inspiring talks and shared experiences, we will learn that true strength comes from being open about our struggles, fears, and insecurities. By doing so, we create an environment of empathy and understanding, fostering deeper connections and authentic relationships.

• Taking Responsibility for the Community: Supporting Each Other – As we unveil our inner selves, we strengthen our bond as a community. “Unmasking” emphasises the importance of supporting one another through life’s challenges. By being present for each other, we can collectively uplift and empower men to prioritize their mental health and well-being. 3 focuses of I’m Just A Man – Schools, Businesses and Music Events and experiences.

The Gala Event:

The gala evening will be a blend of engaging talks, music themed artistic expressions that highlight the theme of unmasking. From thought-provoking speakers sharing their personal journeys to expressive performances that depict the power of vulnerability, “unmasking” promises to be an event like no other.

Note: Profits of the night go towards IJAMs S.I.D.E Vision and focus on Schools, Business and Music experiences research for men’s mental health. 

Dress Code:

The dress code for the event is formal attire with a twist. Men wear their rock-Tshirt with their favourite suit. Girls can do the same or dress up in your best!

Of course please bring and wear your masquerade mask – as a touch of creativity to symbolise unmasking.
