Dear IJAM Men, Women and Humans

March 20th is International Day of Happiness

What is the International Day of Happiness?

It recognizes the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.

Here are three simple steps you can use anytime and anywhere to give yourself a boost and build your compassion for others.

By tuning in to your feelings, looking for what’s good and sharing kindness you can nurture yourself and help make things better day by day.

Please give it a try and, if you find it helpful, share it with others too.

Relax your breathing and notice:

How am I feeling right now?
As you notice how you feel, make each breath longer and slow it down 3-5 breaths.

Look around you and ask yourself:

What am I thankful for?
Can’t think for something? Where you are at in the moment?
Focus on the smallest thing: My morning coffee.

With warm feelings, ask yourself:

Who do I want to send love to?
How can I be king to myself?
Who do I want to send love to?

Be kind to yourself and others.
We have been able to fundraise over 50K for corpus and fundraising partners including BeyondBlue, Movember and RUOK.

Please donate to our charity by going to

Warm regards,

Dr. Jim, Anna and TEAM IJAM
